In our parks and wildlife preserves, nature takes center stage—and that’s exactly what you need.

The parks and the reserve showcase the region at its best: rocky ridges, vast lakes, geological formations billions of years old, and curious wildlife that occasionally makes an appearance.

The region’s treasures are there for everyone to enjoy. You just have to decide how to go about discovering them.

Adventure in Abitibi-Témiscamingue is more accessible than ever!

Located north of the Outaouais region, on the border with Ontario, Abitibi-Témiscamingue is easy to reach: by plane, car, bus, or even motorcycle. Just four hours from Toronto and six from Montreal, the call of the great outdoors becomes a promise within reach.

  1. Wildlife Reserve and National Parks Tour

1 wildlife reserve, 2 national parks—here’s what awaits you!

Whether you’re coming from southern Quebec or Ontario, you’ll be greeted by untamed wilderness: La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve in the Vallée-de-l’Or or Opémican National Park in Témiscamingue.

And if you continue north, you’ll fall in love with Aiguebelle National Park, renowned far beyond our borders. A perfect route for experiencing the region in full-on outdoor mode.

  2. Nature Adventure Tour

Nature knows no bounds. It’s up to you to set your own.

The Nature Adventure Circuit offers you three ways to explore the region on your own terms and according to your current mood.

On the water, on land, or high above. Paddle, hike, climb. No matter the intensity you choose, each route promises an immersion in the wide-open spaces of Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
All you have to do is lace up your shoes, grab your bike or paddle, and set off on an adventure along one of these routes.
