Our seasons in Abitibi-Témiscamingue
We have 4 seasons like everyone else
But here, they kind of do their own thing.
Spring stretches on, winter arrives without warning, summer takes its time and autumn brings the other 3 together all at the same time.
As the seasons change, Abitibi-Témiscamingue’s mood, colour and rhythm change. No matter when you come to visit us, we’ll always have something to offer you.

Spring
Here, spring arrives at its own pace. The snow slowly melts, boots stay out close by, and as soon as it thaws, everyone’s outside!
The lakes are freed, colours gently return, and the days grow longer with every blink of an eye.
Summer
The season of sandals, mosquitoes, campfires, and sunsets too beautiful to be true.
Summer here is simple: we live outdoors. We swim, we paddle, we chat around the fire, we eat late, between two lakes (we have 22,000 of them), and wonder why we didn’t arrive sooner.
Fall
Autumn is just winter getting a head start. Just kidding, it’s a much more pleasant season than one might think.
The maple trees turn red, the air is get’s cooler, we’re pulling out our rubber boots, and the coffee tastes even better outside. It’s the season of colours, harvests, and late dinners.
Winter
Red cheeks and runny noses, we know all about that. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowball fights, here we spend the winter outdoors.
You’ll see, the cold bites, but not as much as the mosquitoes.
