About

Founded in 2004 and now in its 23rd year, the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Festival of Stories and Legends (FCLAT) is the region’s annual celebration of the spoken word and oral tradition. Every fall, the festival brings its activities to Val-d’Or and throughout Abitibi-Témiscamingue, bringing together storytellers from near and far in theaters, schools, senior centers, and public spaces. Multidisciplinary and deeply rooted in its community, FCLAT celebrates the diversity of narrative forms while supporting creativity, emerging talent, and cultural accessibility for all communities in the region.
