MHRN – Église orthodoxe russe Saint-Georges
About
The Musée d'histoire de Rouyn-Noranda invites you to immerse yourself in the past at two historic sites. Discover pioneer life at Magasin général Dumulon and the rich immigrant community that shaped our city at Saint-Georges Russian Orthodox Church. Built in 1955, the Russian Orthodox Church's architecture stands in stark contrast to the surrounding urban landscape. Learn about Rouyn-Noranda's cultural diversity and the contribution of immigrants, mainly from Europe, and discover the rites of the Russian Orthodox religion. Extend your experience at our Magasin général Dumulon boutique, where you'll find local agri-food and artisanal products!
