Welcome to the Media Section!
Abitibi-Témiscamingue is one of Québec’s hidden gems. The region offers a wide range of experiences that deserve to be shared with your audience. Our team is here to assist with information requests, photos, interviews, or media tour planning. In this section, you’ll also find our latest press releases and inspiring stories from the region.
About Us?
With 65,000 km² of land and 22,000 lakes and rivers, Abitibi-Témiscamingue is a natural playground where outdoor experiences are not only possible, but easily accessible from nearby towns. And yet, you’ll often feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere—surrounded by endless forests or facing a tranquil lake, with only the call of a loon in the distance. It’s easy to see why the Anicinabek people chose to settle here over 8,000 years ago.
Divided into five distinct areas, the region offers a wide variety of museums and unique activities, a vibrant cultural scene, and countless festivals. Even public art is celebrated, with fountains, murals, and impressive sculptures enriching the local landscape.
It’s also the perfect place to meet creative, passionate people who will welcome you with open arms and gladly share their love for their region.
