Founded in 1913 in the Abitibi-Ouest region, during the early 1900s the charming town of Taschereau owed its growth to the National Transcontinental Railway. Bordered today by tranquil waterways and beautiful green spaces, the scenery alone is worth a visit. Gateway to both Aiguebelle National Park and a section of the Route Verte, Taschereau has 56 km of bike paths and a scenic 1.5-km trail leading to the Mont Panoramique lookout, where you will see magnificent views of the surrounding boreal forest. The municipal wharf has a pleasant rest stop with a picnic area and playground. History and culture buffs will enjoy stopping at the D. Montreuil General Store.
