Chazel was built in 1938 by the own hands of determined first settlers. The municipality, proud of its founding fathers and heritage, invites you to follow the « Route du Patrimoine Forestier » to learn about historical facts that have forged its identity. Culture and history buffs won’t be disappointed! Larger than nature, the sculptures and works of art along this route represent many aspects of the forestry industry from the 1920s to the 1980s and are supported by interpretative panels that tell the story of those courageous men and women who have left their mark.
