Whether you seek an adrenaline rush, an active form of exploration or a relaxing bath in the outdoors, the “Adventure in Nature” Circuit suggests three courses adapted to your rhythm. Climb, paddle, hike, bike, explore – Abitibi-Témiscamingue offers experiences that match your thirst for adventure!

INTENSE

3-4 days – 370 km

Test your limits with an excursion that will make your heart beat to the rhythm of your discoveries! This intense circuit combines gravel bike, climbing, mountain bike, and kayak for the ultimate adventure.

DAY 1
Gravel Bike in Témiscamingue

Begin with a 43 km course on the Cycling path of the Ligne du Mocassin, from Ville-Marie to Angliers

DAY 2
Climbing and Hiking in Rouyn-Noranda

Conquer the Collines Kékéko (Kékéko Hills) for a technical hike that features a few walls to make use of your climbing skills.

For a supervised excursion, here are two climbing partners: Camp de Base and Club Le Rappel du Nord


DAY 3
Get ready for action in Val-d’Or

Forêt récréative de Val-d’Or (Recreational Forest of Val-d’Or): Mountain bike, Hiking, Inline skating and much more!

DAY 4
Mountain bike and kayak in Senneterre

Mont Bell: Mountain bike and hiking with a substantial height difference.

La Bell en kayak (The Bell River in kayak): slow down your heart rate paddling on the Bell River.

BALANCED

3-4 days – 304 km

How to balance both sport and discovery perfectly! This intermediary level course marries accessible hikes, bike rides and canoe excursions to fully enjoy nature.

DAY 1
Hiking and hebertism in Rouyn-Noranda

Parc-Aventure Joannès: Hebertism, mountain bike and hiking trails!

Alternative options in the Rouyn-Noranda area: the Collines D’Alembert Trails (D’Alembert Hills) and the Opasatica Trails

DAY 2
Bike ride in the Vallée-de l’Or area

Sentier de la nature de Rivière-Héva (Nature Trail in Rivière-Héva): athletic hike including outdoor exercising stations and a playground for kids.

Keep the momentum going by enjoying the Cycling Path of Piste 4 saisons Agnico Eagle.

DAY 3
Canoe excursion in Saint-Dominique-du-Rosaire

Davy-Harricana Paddling Course, 21 km to explore on the beautiful and accessible Harricana River in the Amos area.

DAY 4
Must-see attraction in Barraute

Mont-Vidéo (Mount Video): Hiking, Mountain Biking and Cottage Life for a Grand Finale!

RELAXED

3 days – 310 km

An ideal circuit for relaxation and nature lovers. Enjoy the landscapes, get back to source and savor every moment in nature.

DAY 1
Beaches and rides in Témiscamingue

Parc de la Pointe-aux-Roches (De la Pointe-aux-Roches Park): Paddle board, Hiking, Wildlife observation, picnics, in one location!
Plage municipale de Ville-Marie (Ville-Marie Municipal Beach): to end the day in relaxation and water play fun.

Additional ideas for an easy hike in the area: Parc de la Grotte (de la Grotte Park), Sentiers de la Chute à Ovide (Chute à Ovide Trails), Sentiers de l’Entrevent (L’Entrevent Trails).


DAY 2
Wildlife and Flora Observation in Rouyn-Noranda and Amos

Parc botanique À Fleur d’eau et jardin géologique (À Fleur d’Eau Botanical Park and Geological Garden): Take a peaceful walk in the gardens.

Sentier polyvalent Osisko (Multi-Use Trail): known in regards to ornithology, in the middle of downtown Rouyn-Noranda.

Refuge Pageau: a unique encounter with local wildlife (book your guided tour, it is well worth it!)

DAY 3
Ride in the woods in two areas

Dedicate this day to disconnection or reconnection in the forest.

Amos-Harricana Area: Sentier de l’Arboretum (Arboretum Trail), Sentier de la Roche du millénaire (Roche du Millénaire Hiking Trail), Forêt ornithologique Askikwaj (Askikwaj Ornithological Forest), Jardins Saint-Maurice (Saint-Maurice Gardens).

Abitibi-Ouest (Abitibi-West) Area: Sentiers pédestres et poste d’observation Grand Héron (Grand Héron Hiking Trails and Observation Post), Montagne à Fred (Fred’s Mountain) and also Marais Antoine (Antoine Swamp).
