Contest Rules

Win your passes for Osisko en Lumière Westwood!

The contest begins on June 24, 2024, and ends on July 22, 2024, at midnight Eastern Time.

Note: The masculine gender is used generically to simplify the text. The use of the word « or » in these rules should not be interpreted as exclusive to one or the other of the elements or conditions mentioned and may be cumulative.

1. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

1.1 This contest is exclusively open to individuals aged 18 and over in Canada.

1.2 Registration for the contest is done by participating on the Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue website.

1.3 To be declared a winner, the participant whose name has been drawn must have duly completed the participation form and meet all the conditions described in this document. Failure to meet one or more of these conditions will result in automatic disqualification, and another draw will be held to determine a new winner. Any entry form that is erroneous, incomplete, incomprehensible, late, fraudulent, or contains false information will be automatically rejected.

1.4 Each client is entitled to only one chance to win, with a limit of one entry per client unless otherwise stated. Any attempt to participate more than once will ensure immediate disqualification.

1.5 Persons who, during the contest period or at the time of the draw, are administrators, employees, directors, agents, or representatives of Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue, our partners involved in the contest, as well as their immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother, legal or common-law spouse) and persons living under the same roof are not eligible for the contest.


2. THE PRIZE

2.1 The prize to be won is as follows:

Two 4-day Passports for the 2024 edition of Osisko en lumière Westwood.

The total value of the prize is $186.

2.2 Insurance is the responsibility of the winner. The prize will be awarded by Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible participants.

2.3 The winner irrevocably releases Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue, sponsors, and suppliers of materials and services related to this contest, their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers, and employees (« Released Parties ») from all liability for any damage or loss that may result from participation in this contest or from the awarding, acceptance, or use of the prize or from any service provision related to the said prize. In this regard, any prize winner agrees to sign a release before receiving their prize.

2.4 The winner accepts the prize without any legal or other warranty from the Released Parties and it must be accepted as is. It cannot be transferred, exchanged, or substituted.

2.5 The winner agrees that their first and last name will be mentioned during the winner announcement on social media or the Web without any time restriction and without any form of compensation.

2.6 If the winner refuses to accept the prize, it releases the Released Parties from any responsibility and obligation towards the winner.

2.7 Where applicable, this prize does not include: transportation costs, tips, and personal expenses.

3. GENERAL RULES

3.1 This contest consists of a draw among participants who have met the contest requirements during the valid contest period.

3.2 No purchase is required.

3.3 Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue reserves the right to terminate or modify the contest after receiving authorization from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux if events beyond its control prevent it from continuing or compel it to modify it. In such a case, no responsibility can be attributed to it.

3.4 Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the persons for whose benefit this contest is held will assume no responsibility of any kind in all cases where their inability to act results from an event or situation beyond their control or a strike, pandemic, lock-out, bankruptcy, or any other labor dispute in the establishments of organizations or companies whose services are used for the holding of this contest.

3.5 A dispute concerning the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. This dispute may be submitted only for the purpose of intervention to attempt to settle it.

3.6 All participation forms are the property of Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Participation vouchers are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are non-compliant.

3.7 Upon request, an English version of this document can be provided. In case of dispute, the French version will prevail.

3.8 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for the failure of any website used for the contest, nor for any problem or technical failure of any telephone network or line, online computer system, server, access provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or transmission to be received due to technical problems or other, congestion on the Internet network or any website, or any combination of these reasons, including damage caused to the participant’s computer equipment or any other person, which may result from participation in this contest.

3.9 The personal information requested from participants in the context of the contest will be used solely by Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue or a third party authorized by it for the purposes of the contest. This information will not be used for any other purpose without the participants’ consent. By providing this information, participants consent to its use for the stated purposes.

3.11 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for loss, delays, address errors, printing errors, or any other errors related to this contest.

4. THE DRAW

4.1 The draw is conducted electronically among participants who have met the contest requirements.

4.2 This draw will be held on July 23 at 2 PM. Winners will be contacted by phone or email. If a winner cannot be reached within 10 days following the draw, another participant will be chosen.

4.3 Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue cannot be held responsible for any failed attempt to contact a selected participant.

4.4 Winners will receive the tickets by mail.

4.5 Any person who wins this contest agrees to comply with these rules and the decisions of Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue, which administers the contest, and whose decisions are final and binding.
