Campsite family friendly

The best way to connect with the idyllic nature of Abitibi-Témiscamingue is doubtlessly to inhabit it fully by planning some nights of camping in the heart of its green forests or on the shores of its magnificent bodies of water. Find the destination that will quench your thirst for authenticity and comfort and that will satisfy people of all ages.

La Bannik
Next to the La Bannik touristic complex, on the shores of the magnificent Lake Timiskaming, the camping grounds of La Bannik offer all the amenities necessary to an enjoyable family stay. With 96 available lots, from lots for trailers to wilderness camping sites, you will surely find the option perfectly adapted to your desired level of hardiness. The site allows access to a beach, a wharf, to an in-ground pool, as well as to a restaurant that highlights the region’s unique flavours. If you were to want a cozier and more comfortable experience, cottages and spas are also available nearby.

Opémican National Park
Camping in Opémican National Park is to get a privileged access to the youngest national park of the province. During the day, discover the many trails that cross the mixed forest of Témiscamingue on foot or on a bike (children under 17 years of age can borrow one for free, what a deal!) or journey across Lake Timiskaming and Kipawa on board of the various boats available for rental. In the evening, enjoy a basic camping lot or one for the 11 ready-to-camp sites, depending on your tastes. In all cases, let yourselves be charmed by the enthralling landscape and the stary nights.

Pourvoirie du lac Faillon
You know Lac Faillon without knowing it. Not only was the mythical sunset of our precious Carte Soleil health insurance cards immortalized on its shores, but its beach is also famous for being one of the most beautiful of the entire province. Boasting a variety of accomodations, but also 33 basic camping lots, the site offers access to the amenities (showers and bathrooms) of the outfitter, as well as a variety of activities. Playground for children, walkable path, boat and outdoors equipment rental, you will certainly find something to suit your needs!

Camping régional Malartic
Could this camping ground in Malartic be a true gold nugget? Located less than two kilometres from downtown, the location offers 217 lots with varying levels of amenities. There are games for children, sports fields, punctual activities, a waddling pool and a heated pool. You can also enjoy the various installations without staying overnight.

Aiguebelle
Famous for its suspension bridge perceived by some to be an “extreme” activity, Aiguebelle National Park offers various accommodation options adapted to your desired proximity with nature (we don’t have the courage to sleep in a cloud of mosquito-repellent every night, and that’s fine). Comfortable cabins, rustic camps, camping lots adapted to bikers, the traditional ready-to-camp or l’Étoile, multiple camping lots, you will certainly find something that will fit your needs. Above all, you will be close to memorable activitites; Aiguebelle National Parks offers, all year round, a flora and a fauna as rich as it is abundant, as well as surprising geological phenomena.

Lac Beauchamp’s municipal camping grounds
Boasting a variety of play structure and sports fields, multiple accommodations, and a developed and guarded beach, it is an ideal place to stop with your family while exploring the Amos-Harricana sector. By going through Sainte-Gertrude-Manneville, you will also be able to take a short break to contemplate in the quietude of the artistic fountain that is part of the Amos-Harricana artistic fountains circuit.
