This Winter, Let’s Play Outside at Aiguebelle National Park!

Winter activities for the whole family, varied experiences, and exciting new features this year. Whether for a day trip or a longer stay, we promise outdoor fun at Aiguebelle National Park this winter. Let’s go!

When It Starts

Winter season at Aiguebelle National Park kicks off on Friday, December 13, 2024. A host of activities awaits, along with a variety of experiences to discover.

Activities for the Whole Family

First off, you can plan a fun-filled day here. There’s gear rental available if you want to try something new!

You can rent snowshoes, Nordic skis, snow scooters, fat bikes, or ski-shoes. That’s a lot of activity options!

The whole family will find something to enjoy. Plus, equipment rentals for children are free. And don’t forget, you can go sliding too.

A sliding hill is open to the public as soon as there’s enough snow on the ground!

Stay at Your Own Pace

Of course, you can also stay longer than a single day.

New this year: some rustic cabins now have electricity and running water, including the Puce d’eau, Vice-Roy, and Monarque. For the more adventurous, you can still opt for the traditional “Coureur des bois” experience without these amenities in other rustic camps.

Additionally, many of these cabins are now accessible by car. You no longer have to hike to reach your campsite, although that can still be part of your adventure. Both options are possible, how great is that?

Hiking on Your Terms

Speaking of hiking, there are plenty of trails to explore, depending on your enthusiasm or the time you have.

This year, there are two new trails: one leading to Mont-Dominant (8 km) and La Framboisière, designed specifically for snowshoeing and Nordic skiing (4.6 km).

Events to Warm Up Winter

But wait, there’s more! Throughout the winter, the park’s team organizes wonderful activities to make the most of the polar season.

For Valentine’s Day, enjoy a starlit hike followed by a chocolate fondue. During Spring Break, a sliding activity is also planned. Check the Aiguebelle National Park website for details.

  • Saturday, February 8, 2024: Valentine’s Glow (Chocolate fondue and illuminated trail).
  • Saturday, March 1, 2024: Aiguebelle Under the Stars (Stargazing activity and illuminated sliding).

So, are you ready to lace up your boots and embrace winter at Aiguebelle National Park? Whatever activity or time you choose, one thing is certain: fun is guaranteed. See you there?
