Cross-Country Skiing in Abitibi-Témiscamingue
Abitibi-Témiscamingue offers nearly endless kilometers of cross-country skiing trails. With our snow-covered landscapes and pristine, dazzlingly white snow, the only thing chasing you here is your own breath, or perhaps a few sore muscles! Each of the clubs where you can practice cross-country skiing offers an excellent excuse to stay active while taking in a big gulp of fresh (or frosty) air.

Club de ski de fond d’Évain – In addition to cross-country skiing, you can enjoy snowshoeing and fat biking. The "Ski Thursdays" are a chance to combine exercise with a drink among friends at the club’s chalet, which stays open until 10 p.m. for the occasion.
Club de ski de fond de Témiscaming – This club also offers Ski Hok. It is located along the new bike path between Lafort Street and Petit-Canada.
Club de ski de fond Skinoramik – This club truly has it all: hiking trails, snowshoe trails, cross-country ski trails, fat bike paths, a welcoming chalet, and even a free sliding hill for all!
Club de ski de fond Granada -Located in a charming setting just 10 minutes from downtown Rouyn-Noranda, this club stands out for its stunning scenery and optimal trail conditions.

Club plein air Malartic – The Club plein air de Malartic (CPAM) offers nearly 15 km of versatile trails, including 6 km dedicated to snowshoeing. It even features a lovely sliding hill, free to access at all times. Here, you can go hiking, fat biking, snowshoeing, ski-shoeing (Ski Hok), or try a cross-country ski sled for babies (Skiglyder), snow scootering, and, of course, cross-country skiing. Access is free, and equipment rentals are available at very low rates.
La forêt récréative de Val-d'Or – This site boasts over 50 km of cross-country skiing trails for all levels, with well-maintained paths in an enchanting setting near downtown. You’ll find shelters for resting, a lit trail for night skiing, and a waxing room for ski maintenance. Equipment rentals are available on-site.
Le Mont Vidéo – At Mont-Vidéo, you can enjoy all winter sports: downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and even a lit skating rink. With plenty of attractions to ensure a thrilling mountain experience, this is a must-visit destination in the heart of Abitibi!

The Centre de Plein Air Mont Kanasuta, in Rouyn-Noranda, and Mont-Vidéo, in Barraute, offer exceptional sliding experiences. With 20 ski runs, glades, and a snow park at Mont-Vidéo, plus 12 ski runs and 8 glades at Mont Kanasuta, skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find something to enjoy.
