The great outdoors

LARGE EXTENTS OF SPACE THAT DO NOT HINDER MOVEMENT

Lose yourself in a whole 360-degree horizon. Let yourself be taken over by the serenity of the landscape that overcomes you suddenly, as if time stopped to leave you suspended above the boreal forest, as if nature herself reminded you of her greatness by making you feel small in front of the majestic lakes and young when faced with thousand-year-old geological formations.

Unplug completely

Leave the constant noise of the city to find yourself in a magnificent silence, in front of a landscape frozen in time, waiting for you to let go completely. It’s got all the time in the world… what about you?

Reconnecting the mind

When you dive in the fresh and dense water of a lake that used to be a glacier; when you walk in the thousand-year-old forests, surrounded by the sweet smell of the coniferous trees… It becomes easy to live in the now. All you need to do is exist.

Get moving

The great outdoors are synonymous with great possibilities. Hike, climb, ski, swim… Here, no action verb is ever left out.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue – Cross-Country Skiing to Montréal

La Vérendrye

Music can be an ally when driving. You start by whispering the lyrics only to find yourself singing at the top of your lungs moments later. When your favourite song comes on, you sing even louder to try and give yourself the courage to continue hitting the road. Two hours later, you reach the end of your playlist. The only sounds you hear are the wind and the tires rolling on the road. The silence returns; it feels awkward at first, but ultimately you find some benefit to it.

Descovering the great outdoors

Meeting with Guillaume Rivest, a great outdoors enthusiast

Guillaume Rivest talks about the forest as the place he actually grew up in. Born in Bellecombe, on the outskirts of Rouyn-Noranda, he was introduced as a child to the joys of hunting, fishing, expeditions and campfires.
