Sentiers Opasatica

These trails wind through a young – 1.1 billion years – and rare geological formation in the region that extends into Lake Opasatica. The three trails are parallel, with one running along a ridge. The trails lead to fifteen or so lookout points and cliff views and cut across an exceptional forest ecosystem of very big pines, cedars, and yellow birches. Hikers must expect to negotiate a few steep areas on uneven terrain and rock outcrops.
