Magasin général D. Montreuil

Built in 1911, this general store is one of Abitibi’s oldest historic buildings. The man behind the business, David Montreuil, moved to the area in 1910 with only one thing on his mind: being his own boss. This determined and savvy businessman knew how to make deals. The century-old, boomtown-style structure was restored and relocated to downtown Taschereau. Today, visitors can appreciate this memorial to the town’s past.
